Diana Topjian has served the healthcare industry for over 30 years in a variety of leadership positions, and her passion for employee and patient engagement has driven results in various healthcare organizations across the country. Diana has a clear understanding of the operational and clinical sides of healthcare and uses that knowledge to connect the hearts of providers to the outcomes of patients. Diana and her teams have achieved top decile results in quality, safety, patient experience and employee engagement. At a large level 1 academic center’s perioperative services, she increased and sustained provider and employee engagement results from the 25th to the 95th percentile. Diana translated that success to multiple leadership positions, most notably her role as chief nursing officer of a system facility. She and her team were responsible for opening a third hospital within that system and quickly became the leading facility in productivity, employee engagement, patient experience, provider engagement, quality and safety outcomes. Within four years of opening, the facility was awarded the pathway designation. Diana demonstrates her commitment and passion to her work by guaranteeing the best outcomes for patients, the most engaged environment for employees and the ability to empower individuals to achieve outcomes by understanding the difference they make in every situation.
