Michelle’s experience gives her a vast and diversified expertise in healthcare administration. She has worked with a number of hospitals to not only develop strategies to achieve excellence, but also coached them to execute the operational tactics necessary to realize their goals – assuring that every employee and physician has the opportunity to find purpose in their work. She worked at Covenant Health System in Lubbock, Texas, St. Joseph Health System in Bryan, Texas, and before joining Studer Group, she was the Executive Director for Organizational Development & Strategy for Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, TX. Michelle is recognized for developing organizational structures to align the organization’s mission and strategy so that it has practical, everyday application effectively cascaded throughout the organization.
Having worked with the Studer Group for over 8 years, Michelle has a depth of experience in applying Evidence-Based Leadership tactics to achieve operational excellence. Michelle has led both her own organizations and her Studer Group Partners to achieve national results in employee engagement, processes of care (Core Measures), patient satisfaction and HCAHPS. And although Michelle has an extensive background with the entire spectrum of healthcare providers-large systems to Critical Access Hospitals-being raised in a rural community is what fuels Michelle’s passion for the difference that can be made in rural healthcare. Michelle’s role as one of Studer Group’s Rural Division Leaders is to foster strong rural performance through focused onboarding of new Studer Group Rural Partners and collaborative support of the Rural Coaching Team.
