The information currently displayed on Hospital Compare will remain the same until December 2014, The next data set published will contain HCAHPS data collected from January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2013 for eligible discharges.
When Hospital Compare refreshes data in December 2014, the
Care Transition Composite will be reported for the first time. These questions have been on the HCAHPS survey since the beginning of 2013. This is tentatively intended to be added to Value-Based Purchasing for Federal Fiscal Year 2018, with Performance Period in 2016.
The cause for the delay in reporting data was reportedly due to required system upgrades.
